What I Learned in TPSMC

The Peak Simplicity Master Class (TPSMC) with Antony Lo was a 13 week course, plus I spent about two weeks before the class taking The Peak Simplicity Foundations Course AND Antony had recommended that I read a few books in preparation for the course.

  1. Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

  2. Switch: How to change things when change is hard by Chip Heath & Dan Heath

  3. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

I read the books in January (It had been a really long time since I read that many books in such a short period of time), and started the courses in February. The books taught me not only how to make changes in myself to help me reach my own goals, but also how to communicate better with you and guide you towards reaching your own goals.

As I said above, the class itself was 13 weeks (130+ hours of zoom calls!) and included optional assignments. My hunger for knowledge in my profession compelled me complete them all. There were 8 per week! The assignments focused around business, creating videos, using social media, and writing while also examining my own BAMS and BAA’s.

What are BAMS and BAA’s?
-Beliefs
-Attitudes
-Meanings
-Stories
-Biases
-Assumptions

What does that mean for you?

I learned how to seek out my own BAMS and BAA’s and how to understand yours. By doing this, I can take a more objective view of what your concerns and goals are; I can help you get there the way you want to get there, instead of pushing my biases and beliefs onto you.

Again what does that mean? It means that I will meet you where you are at. I will help you reach your goals no matter how small or big those goals are.
I am happy to use modalities and hands on treatments, but I am also happy to show you how to use movement to get you out of pain and help you reach your goals so that you do not need to see me as often.

I learned how to guide you and teach you autonomy.

I learned how to think outside the box.

I learned how to “find the difference that makes the difference.”

I learned how to “do something different.”

I learned how to show you “how to get results in minutes not weeks.”

And most of all? I learned how to challenge myself so that I can continue to be the better practitioner and person that you deserve.

This was an amazing course. I am so happy to have taken the course and that I can continue to be part of TPSMC community. If you are a practitioner and you are reading this, I highly recommend looking into it! You will not regret taking the course!
