Ashley Burr BSc. (KIN) CAT(C) Certified Athletic Therapist
Graduating from the University of Winnipeg, Ashley has over 10 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Therapist. She practices within a clinical setting with a strong focus on the biopsychosocial model of care and client-centered treatment. Passionate about advancing the field, Ashley actively contributes by creating and teaching continuing education courses in pelvic health, myofascial cupping, and minimalist footwear for healthcare professionals.
In addition to her clinical work, Ashley is the host of the Athletic Therapy Now podcast. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, she’s always diving into the latest research on movement and women’s health—much to the amusement of her colleagues, who joke that she’s absorbed every research paper she can find!
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys baking, reading, and spending quality time with her husband, son, and pets.

Nikki Smith BSc.(KIN) CAT(C) Certified Athletic Therapist
Nikki Smith is a Certified Athletic Therapist, owner, and founder of Revolution Rehab Inc. – a mixed therapy, physical rehab clinic in Winnipeg. Nikki has been practicing Athletic Therapy since 2014 and created Revolution in late 2016 to support other rehab professionals. She has gone through the build of her clinic from the ground up, including concept, design, construction, City Permits, creating contracts, working with lawyers, hiring staff and contractors, and adapting and reworking the business structure to adapt to the changing landscape.
She mentors student therapists from the UofM and UofW on Athletic Therapy and the business side of the industry. She also offers a workshop called The Business Side of Athletic Therapy, to help educate new therapists coming into the trade.
