Shelby Daly originally from Kenai, Alaska was an avid athlete growing up, specifically soccer. She went on to play 2 years of collegiate soccer at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington before she was diagnosed with a cardiac condition ARVD which retired her from competitive sports. This situation pushed her into pursuing athletic training. She went on to receive her master’s of athletic training at California Baptist University in Riverside, California. After becoming certified she was the head athletic trainer for the professional men's arena soccer team, Ontario Fury in California (not Canada). She was also an assistant at Caltech in Pasadena, CA. She has had many experiences with a range of medical coverage from UCLA, staffing medical coverage for US domestic International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, to on-set medical coverage for films and music videos. She recently moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband for an opportunity to work with the MLS academy. She is currently working towards her Doctorate of Athletic Training at Florida International University which concentrates in Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Globalization. Currently, she works at Penn Medicine in the Outpatient Orthopedic Department and hosts her podcast To The Bone which covers business and politics in sports medicine.
